At What Do Ladies Want we believe that women don’t just follow trends – they set them, shape them, and most importantly, own them. We’re a vibrant community of creators, dreamers, and boundary-pushing women who are unapologetically curious about what they really want and then go after it.
Our mission is to bring women together in meaningful and magical ways: through curated small-business highlights, DIY workshops, creative backyard events, and joyful encounters that spark inspiration, connection and action.

About the Founder
Meet Dr. Kristine Mariscal
Dr. Kristine Mariscal is the visionary founder of What Do Ladies Want, a creative movement and community dedicated to helping women rediscover joy, connection, and self-expression. A published researcher and award-winning professional recognized for her leadership and contributions to operations management. Dr. Kristine blends academic depth with creative passion to curate meaningful experiences that inspire women to connect and collaborate together.
Holding a Doctorate in Business Administration, Dr. Kristine’s professional career spans over a decade of leadership, management, higher education, and community engagement. She has earned recognition for her ability to cultivate collaboration, lead with empathy, and transform organizational cultures.
Her doctoral research on female indirect aggression and its influence on organizations which has been published and cited for its relevance to modern leadership ignited her mission to create spaces where women can support rather than compete with one another. That insight became the foundation of What Do Ladies Want: a community where women gather to create, connect, and celebrate authenticity.
Through What Do Ladies Want, Dr. Kristine hosts immersive workshops and creative events that blend empowerment with playfulness, transforming women’s small-owned businesses, local spaces, and everyday settings into hubs of inspiration and sisterhood. Each event reflects her belief that community, creativity, and connection are essential for women’s personal and professional fulfillment.
Today, Dr. Kristine continues to serve as a speaker, mentor, and advocate for women’s leadership, emotional intelligence, and authentic self-expression. Her work bridges research and real life, empowering women to rediscover what they truly want and to pursue it boldly.
When she’s not designing her next event or collaborating with female entrepreneurs, Dr. Kristine can be found researching and writing, arts and crafts, making jewelry, gardening, painting, and spending time with family.
Her philosophy: “When women feel seen, supported, and inspired, they don’t just change their own lives—they change everything around them.”
